I have been writing poems since I was about eight years old. It was a way to share my thoughts and feelings to the world (as well as my English class assignments). I have never not written. Every event, birth, death, birthday, any occasion really - I would pen my words. Over the years I have kept my original, hen-scratched poems in a leather bound binder upon a shelf in my home. After years of sharing some of my poetry with friends, one friend in particular - Adele. She gave me the confidence to take some of them and turn them in to the treasures you see here on this page. With supporting local as much as I can, four of these books have been illustrated by friends of mine. I hope you and your children enjoy my books as much as I enjoyed writing and designing them.
Alphabet Zoo
Alphabet Zoo
Inspired by my children while singing "Down By the Bay" when they were small - came 'Alphabet Zoo'. This is a zany rhyming story with animals for every letter of the alphabet. Come on and experience the Alphabet Zoo for yourself.
1,2,3 Come Count with Me
1,2,3 Come Count with Me
While sitting on my back deck enjoying a gorgeous summer morning, I witnessed a family of raccoons walk across my back yard along with ducks swimming in my pool. I took this opportunity to share yet another story for children.
Hockey Dream
Hockey Dream
An inspirational story about a little boy who dreams of playing with his heroes in the NHL one day and learns to never give up on his dreams.
Sugar Bugs
Sugar Bugs
Inspired again by my children, this time while teaching them to brush their teeth. I always told them they had to brush away the sugar bugs. They asked what sugar bugs were and once again - another story came to life.
These Hands
These Hands
'These Hands' is a full circle story of love from a mother's point of view. A view from her hands and everything her hands have gone through to help her children grow up and be wonderful human beings.
Spirit of Christmas
Spirit of Christmas
A beautiful, heartwarming story about a mom teaching her son what the true spirit of Christmas means. It isn't about the gifts we receive, as much as the gifts we give.
